BT Customerstreet takes its responsibilities regarding the confidentiality of your personal information very seriously. Our privacy policy is set out below.

If you use any of the services which BT Customerstreet provides, you will be deemed to have consented to the collection and use of the personal information you submit to BT Customerstreet in the ways described below.   1. In order for BT Customerstreet to provide its services to you, including (but not limited to) domain name, website hosting and eCommerce services (the "Services"), BT Customerstreet might ask you to provide it with certain personal information.
  2. Any personal information which is collected by BT Customerstreet will be used by BT Customerstreet only in accordance with current data protection legislation.
  3. Such personal information will be collected and processed by BT Customerstreet or its agents for the following purposes:
    1. to provide the Services to you;
    2. administration; and
    3. marketing, advertising and promotions
  4. Collecting and processing your personal information for the above purposes might entail sharing the information with employees, contractors and professional advisers of BT Customerstreet and/or the employees, contractors and professional advisers of other companies within the BT Customerstreet group of companies and sending you unsolicited advertising and promotional material pertaining to other Customer Street products and services and to third party products and services selected by BT Customerstreet. Where information is collected from you, you will be given the opportunity to inform BT Customerstreet that you do not wish to receive such advertising and promotional material.
  5. In the event that BT Customerstreet is acquired, the personal information BT Customerstreet has collected will be considered as part of the company's assets and may, therefore, be transferred to a purchaser.
  6. From time to time BT Customerstreet may wish to collect information of a sensitive personal nature from you. In such cases before Customer Street asks you for the information it will inform you of how it intends to use the information and it will ask for your explicit consent.
  7. You have the right to ask BT Customerstreet for a copy of the personal information it holds about you (for which Customer Street may charge a small fee), and to correct any inaccuracies in that information.

  10. As part of its duties as an ICANN accredited domain name registrar, Internetters act as BT Customerstreet's agent for domain name registration. Internetters is required to provide certain information about customers who register domain names with BT Customerstreet to the relevant naming authority. This information will include personal data such as the customer's name, address and telephone number. The relevant naming authority will make such information available to the public through publicly accessible directories of owners of domain names. It is a condition of the purchase of a domain name from BT Customerstreet that the customer agrees to the transfer of his/her personal data to the relevant naming authority and agrees to the naming authority making that personal data available on a public database. BT Customerstreet can provide its customers with details of the relevant naming authority on request.
  11. BT Customerstreet reserves the right to pass on your personal information to any law enforcement agencies properly requesting it in connection with the commission of any offence once BT Customerstreet is reasonable satisfied as to the circumstances surrounding the request.
